Apple has not been able to start producing the iPhone 14 simultaneously in China and India due to a complicated supply chain and excessive secrecy.
Production of iPhone 14 will start in India two months after China (in late October or early November) The company could not set up hundreds of suppliers to deliver components from China to India in time.
Furthermore, Apple was concerned that Indian Customs would print boxes with details to verify their compliance with the declarations. This could have caused a leakage in the iPhone 14 specs.
Apple iPhone 14 (Foxconn)
Apple and Foxconn were unable to obtain the same level of control as the Chinese factories. Foxconn even “completely isolated” an assembly line to learn how workers break professional secrecy.
Officially, Apple and Foxconn have not scheduled to launch the iPhone 14 at the same time in China and India. But some top managers in both companies wanted to do it. In the future, Apple and Foxconn will make every effort to construct iPhones in China and India simultaneously.
