According to the Chandra Observatory’s official website, the images obtained by the James Webb Space Observatory were supplemented with Chandra X-rays.
James Webb Telescope
The James Webb is the most advanced telescope available to astronomers. Create highly detailed images and perform spectral analysis of stars, planets and gas dust clouds. However, it can only receive in the infrared and red bands.
Chandra orbiting observatory
Some of these images were combined with images taken at the Chandra Observatory. Chandra is an X-ray telescope launched in 1999 to observe high-energy photon sources such as superheated gas and supernova remnants.
The merged image is made with artificial colors and shows a purple X-ray source, and the rest is what James Webb did. Astronomers showed images of the Big Dipper Galaxy and the Chile Nebula, among others.
In this way, scientists hope to demonstrate the need for observations in all bands using several telescopes at the same time.
