The program also presents an opportunity to attract a more diverse pool of candidates for cybersecurity jobs, including women and underrepresented workers of color. Google’s commitment to expanding the cybersecurity workforce is evident in the certificate’s design, created and taught by Google’s own cybersecurity experts. The program aims to prepare learners for entry-level positions in cybersecurity within six months, with no prior experience required.
Since its inception in 2018, Google’s Career Certificate Consortium has collaborated with over 150 employers and partnered with over 400 educational institutions, focusing on closing critical skills gaps across multiple sectors.
