Hyundai has announced the EPA ranges for the IONIQ 6 series and the numbers are impressive.
Exceeding Expectations
The IONIQ 5 was a hit and sold out within 24 hours and the IONIQ 6 seems to have upped the stakes even further. The new electrified streamliner was unveiled last June with advanced capabilities compared to the IONIQ 5 SUV, including vehicle-to-load (V2L), ultra-fast charging, and the latest innovations in the industry.
The IONIQ 6 was estimated to deliver an estimated range of 340 miles at the LA Motor Show, making it one of the most efficient EVs with an ultra-low drag coefficient of 0.22. The final EPA testing shows that the EV exceeded these expectations, with the IONIQ 6 SE RWD delivering a final EPA estimated range of 361 miles. Other models in the lineup also come with impressive ranges and MPGe ratings, thanks to the aerodynamic design.
Ready for the US Market
The 2023 Hyundai IONIQ 6 series will arrive in the United States soon and is expected to enter the market with a bang. The series will come in several models, with the IONIQ 6 SE RWD delivering the longest range, followed by the IONIQ 6 SE AWD with 316 miles. The remaining models in the lineup will have ranges between 270 to 305 miles. Pricing information for the IONIQ 6 series is not yet available.
