NIO, a Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer, has announced that it delivered a record 15,815 vehicles in December 2022, bringing its total deliveries for the fourth quarter of 2022 to 40,052 vehicles.
NIO
This marks a significant increase from the same period the previous year, when NIO delivered just over 20,000 vehicles, and brings the company’s total deliveries for the year to 122,486 vehicles.
A breakdown of the delivery figures shows that NIO shipped 4,154 ES7s, 7,594 ET5s, and 1,379 ET7s in December.
The strong demand for these models can be attributed to a number of factors, including the launch of the ET7 sedan, which has been well-received by consumers, and the growing trend of consumers opting for electric vehicles (EVs) over traditional gasoline-powered cars.
NIO’s Power Swap Technology
In addition to its impressive delivery numbers, NIO has also received recognition for its innovative battery-swapping technology. On December 28, 2022, the company won the first prize in the 2022 China Society of Automotive Engineers Science and Technology Award for its battery-swapping technologies and applications. As of December 31, 2022, NIO had deployed 1,315 Power Swap stations, 1,228 Power Charger stations with 6,225 chargers, and 1,058 destination charging stations with 7,159 chargers worldwide.

NIO’s Strong Performance in the Fourth Quarter of 2022
Looking ahead, NIO is expected to continue expanding its product line and increasing its production capacity to meet the growing demand for its vehicles. The company has already announced plans to launch a new, more affordable SUV in the coming months, and it is expected to unveil additional models in the future.
Overall, NIO’s strong performance in the fourth quarter of 2022 and record deliveries in December are a promising sign for the company and the EV industry. As more consumers become aware of the environmental benefits of EVs and the convenience of subscription-based battery plans, it is likely that demand for electric vehicles will continue to rise.
