IBM has agreed to acquire Octo, a provider of government-related digital services, with Arlington Capital Partners.
It would be the microelectronics manufacturer’s eighth acquisition this year if the deal goes through, but the terms were not disclosed.
In the event all goes according to plan, Octo will become a part of IBM Consulting, which is a consulting and services company. By the end of 2022, the deal is expected to be closed.
Given that, IBM Consulting’s revenue increased by 5.4 percent during the same period last year.
It increased to $4.4 billion. IBM’s total revenue grew 6.5% to $14.11 billion.
