PlayStation VR2 is expected to arrive in early 2023.
According to Hideaki Nishino, senior vice president of PlayStation platform experience, Sony Interactive Entertainment PlayStation VR games will not be playable on PlayStation VR2.

The fact that PlayStation VR games are incompatible with PlayStation VR2 is a consequence of the fact that the PlayStation VR2 is a truly next-generation virtual reality device,” said Nishino.
PlayStation VR2 is different from the original PlayStation VR
It has an all-new controller with haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, as I’ve mentioned, and inside-out tracking, 3D audio, and 4K HDR, to cite a few examples… As a result, making games for PlayStation VR2 is different from the original PlayStation VR in that it requires a different approach to development. To put it simply, I believe that they are creating worlds that are more vivid and alive, and bringing players closer to the experience than ever.”
PlayStation VR2 is scheduled to release in early 2023.
