The Ural Automobile Plant plans to start serial production of Arctic passenger cars and road trains in 2024, according to the chief designer of the Arctic bus project.

It is also important not to damage the vegetation layer, as the northern wheeled vehicle path will be restored in about 30 years. The equipment does not harm the soil, Maltsev explained. According to him, the bus runs on diesel but can be equipped with a gas engine.

Arctic Road Buses and Trains are designed to transport people and goods in areas with poor road networks in cold temperatures. The total weight of these buses is 17 tons, the wheel arrangement is 6 x 6 and the capacity is 20 people. Arctic Road Trains include medical, educational, home and catering modules.
The total weight of the vehicle is 28 tons, the payload is 11.5 tons, and the wheel configuration is 6×6 (tractor), 2/4 (semi-trailer). The prototype bus was initially tested last winter, with further tests scheduled for later this year, and work on the pool bus is expected to be completed next year.
