Good Morning, Son
According to Rodrigo, the phrase has a history, which he revealed for the Players Tribune last November:
I joke about Modrich’s age often. Luca was shocked when Casemiro told him my father was about to turn 36 years old, then he told me, ‘See. That is the kind of respect I expect from you. Daddy might be me.”
“Back in August, Goes suggested that he and Modric had a very close relationship with each other: “In the morning, Luka Modric comes in and says, ‘Good morning, son,’ and I reply, ‘Good morning, father.’ As Rodrigo was asked to name the top five players in his opinion, he chose to name five of them who were quite obvious: Pele, Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar, Modric, and Benzema.
Rodrigo is 21 and Modric is 37. Each of them is a leader on his or her national team. As well as these two players, Madrid’s Eder Militao and Vinicius are expected to play.
In the finals, three teams have managed to make a perfect conversion.

Except for Italy, all eight World Cup winners qualified for Qatar. In this edition, Uruguay and Germany have both exited after the group stage, and Spain has exited after the quarterfinals. The race for gold is still on between Brazil, Argentina, France, and England.
