A critical element in this journey is lithography technology, essential for advanced chip manufacturing. Typically, these high-end machines are imported, but US, Netherlands, and Japan sanctions currently restrict them. Huawei’s strategy includes closely working with SiCarrier, a firm with three subsidiaries crucial for developing lithography machines. This partnership has involved transferring patents and integrating SiCarrier’s top engineers into Huawei’s projects.
