“Our goal is to bring the Concept eVX to market by 2025,” stated SMC Representative Director and President, Toshihiro Suzuki. He emphasized that addressing global warming is a top priority for Suzuki Motor Corporation. Furthermore, the company is committed to decreasing greenhouse gas emissions and investing INR 10,000 crore in the manufacturing of Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) and their batteries in India.

Maruti Suzuki Unveils Eco-Friendly Products at Auto Expo 2023: Concept eVX, WagonR Flex Fuel, Brezza S-CNG and Grand Vitara Intelligent Electric Hybrid
Maruti Suzuki also showcased other environmentally friendly products at Auto Expo 2023, such as the WagonR Flex Fuel prototype, Brezza S-CNG, and the Grand Vitara Intelligent Electric Hybrid. Among these, the Concept eVX is Suzuki’s first global strategic electric vehicle which was first debuted in India. The Auto Expo, which occurs every two years, was planned to take place in 2022 but was delayed due to COVID-19.

Leading Traditional Automakers to take center stage at Auto Expo 2023
This edition of the Auto Expo will not feature participation from some major manufacturers such as Mahindra & Mahindra, Skoda, Volkswagen, and Nissan, as well as luxury car makers like Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Audi. However, traditional automakers like Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Tata Motors, Kia India, Toyota Kirloskar, and MG Motor India will take the lead at the event. The Expo will take place from January 11th to 18th, with press days on January 11th and 12th and general public days from January 13th to 18th.
